How do aligners (invisible braces) work?

In aligner therapy, misaligned teeth are corrected with a series of invisible aligners that are custom-made for you and are therefore very comfortable. These so-called "aligners" are almost impossible to see on the teeth. 

The aligners can be used to treat the most common types of misalignment in adults and teenagers. Whether your smile just needs a slight improvement or more extensive adjustments, aligners can almost always help. They are successful in treating crowding and gaps between the teeth. However, they can also bring relief for more complex problems such as overjet, deep bite and even crossbite. 22 hours a day

You wear the aligners day and night throughout the entire treatment. You only take them out to eat and brush your teeth. That is why it is usually only 22 hours a day.

A new aligner every 2 weeks

The teeth are moved step by step. That is why you receive a new aligner every two weeks. However, this does not mean that you have to come to us every two weeks. You always receive aligners for approx. 8-12 weeks. We then check whether the teeth have moved as planned and carry out certain techniques to make sure that we reach the simulated goal. 

Enjoy your usual life

Unlike fixed metal braces, you can eat and drink anything during treatment. You can do any kind of sport and play any musical instrument. Simply take the aligners out.
