How DentalMonitoring works at the Eltz Institut

1. Initial consultation and treatment planning
As with any orthodontic treatment, everything starts with a personal consultation at the practice. After the clinical examination, photos, X-rays and, where appropriate, digital scans, an individual treatment plan is drawn up – e.g. with aligners or fixed braces.

2. Introduction to Dental Monitoring
Once treatment has started, the patient receives access to the Dental Monitoring app and a ScanBox, which is used to take the regular images. At the practice, we explain how to use the app and what to look out for when scanning.

3. Regular scans from home
Once or twice a week (depending on the case), photos of the teeth are taken and automatically sent to the orthodontic team. The app's artificial intelligence detects changes – such as the movement of the teeth, problems with how the aligners fit or even brackets that have come loose.

4. Feedback from the practice – without an in-person appointment
