How orthodontic treatment with invisible aligners works for children and teenagers at the Eltz Institut Vienna

The first step towards beautiful teeth:

Comprehensive consultation including a 3D scan

Everything starts with a consultation with our orthodontic specialists. You will meet our specialist orthodontists and practice assistants and receive all the important information about the braces and treatment options available for your child. Using state-of-the-art technology, we carry out a 3D scan, precisely determine your child's malocclusion and explain what the orthodontic treatment costs and how long it takes. The appointment takes around 40 minutes in total and, if you wish, you can fix the start of treatment straight away.

Your child benefits from our experience with 20,000 patients:

Analysis of the malocclusion

We examine your child's tooth and jaw misalignment in detail using state-of-the-art diagnostic methods such as digital scans, photos, cephalometric and panoramic X-rays and cone beam CT (CBCT). The result is a comprehensive treatment plan drawn up by our specialist orthodontists, setting out in detail how the malocclusion will be treated. You will also receive a 3D simulation. Do not underestimate how important specialist expertise is here.

A little better every day:

Orthodontic treatment with invisible braces

We arrange an appointment at which the orthodontic treatment begins. We use the best possible method for your child from the full repertoire of modern orthodontics. We then see each other around every 6–8 weeks, for an average of 14 treatment appointments. Depending on the treatment, we may bond attachments, use elastics, make fine adjustments, change archwires or place pins. We simply use the entire orthodontic toolbox to help you – step by step – safely achieve your dream smile. Depending on the malocclusion, your child may be finished after just a few months, or after 1–2 years in very complex cases.

The end of braces is just the beginning:

Retention matters

Once the treatment is complete, we at the Eltz Institut begin what is known as the aftercare or retention phase. This means that for almost a year we use special technologies to make sure that the teeth stay in their new position. After all, we want to preserve your new smile for a lifetime! Another Eltz advantage: should the teeth shift in the 1st year after the braces are removed, we will correct the misalignment free of charge.
