Wedding
At no other celebration are so many photos taken and so many smiles shared as at a wedding. The photos are meant to capture the happiness and bring joy as a keepsake for a long time to come. A perfect, radiant smile undoubtedly makes the most beautiful day of your life even more beautiful.
The most beautiful smile for the most beautiful day
Scientifically proven: people who go through life with a friendly smile have more friends and are more popular than the grouch with tightly pressed lips. The unfair part: the supposed sourpuss may be an extremely nice person with an enchanting laugh – they just don’t dare to show it. “Only people with beautiful teeth enjoy laughing,” says Dr. Maija Eltz, founder of the Eltz Institut in Vienna’s city centre. “Many people don’t laugh heartily because they are afraid of showing their crooked teeth.”
What does the perfect smile look like?
Most superstars are not born with an Oscar-worthy smile. The flawless look admired on the big screen is usually the result of good dental work.
That said, the team at the Eltz Institut is no fan of the uniform Hollywood look: “It’s not always necessarily just about perfection,” says Dr. Eltz. “Our aim is to bring harmony and aesthetics into balance and to perfect them without changing the individuality of the person.” The perfect smile is like the love of your life: it is often the tiny imperfections that make your heart beat faster. So a teeny little gap or unevenness that underlines your type, and that your sweetheart fell in love with, can be deliberately kept during orthodontic treatment.
Our little secret
The good news: just as it is never too late for a dream wedding, you can have your teeth lifted to seventh heaven and straightened at any age. With invisible braces, the position of the teeth can be permanently adjusted and corrected even in adulthood.
“The Invisalign aligner is wafer-thin,” explains Dr. Eltz. “It sits on the teeth like a contact lens and therefore doesn’t get in the way of talking or laughing. It is completely invisible to those around you.” It remains the wearer’s little secret.
Your dream smile in just a few months
On average, treatment at the Eltz Institut takes 12.7 months. If the wedding date is sooner, however, the steps that matter for the wedding photo can often be achieved more quickly.
The doctor decides on the length of treatment together with the bride or groom. Together, a plan can be drawn up around when the big day is.
A laboratory then programs all the necessary steps into a series of consecutive plastic aligners, which the patient is given to take home and wear one after the other. “Each aligner transfers the required changes to the teeth,” says Dr. Eltz. “Treatment continues until the desired result has been achieved.” And best of all: you can even walk down the aisle wearing the invisible braces and give the love of your life your most beautiful smile. For ever and ever.
