Dr. Valérie Pontius
Dr. Pontius joined the medical team at the Dr. Maija Eltz Institute for Orthodontics in spring 2025.
In addition to conventional, fixed braces, Dr. Valérie Pontius focuses on therapy with invisible aligners.
Dr. Pontius completed her dental studies at Philipps University in Marburg (Germany). In 2012, she was appointed dentist with the dissertation titled "Retrospective Evaluation of Perforation Coverages – A Multicenter Study." She completed her specialist training in orthodontics at the Hannover Medical School (Germany). At these clinics, Dr. Pontius learned extensively about the latest treatment techniques, complex orthodontic case planning, and high-quality patient care. Her extensive knowledge was complemented by training and certifications in Invisalign, Angel Aligner, Incognito, WIN, and others. Dr. Pontius completed her three-year postgraduate training in orthodontics at the Hannover Medical School according to the Europe-wide training program "NEBEOP" (Network of Erasmus-Based European Orthodontic Program). She then worked at various orthodontic clinics in Germany. From 2017 to 2024 she even ran her own practice in Bad Homburg.
